In Gaoming District, the distance from the east point to the west point is 55 km, and from the north point to the south point is 42 km. The west and the north is mainly covered by hilly lands. And the east and the northeast has vast area of alluvial plains. This forms the high to low and narrow terrain which runs from southwest to northeast, and surrounded by the hills in the west and north. The elevation of the Zaomu Mountain peak in the south of Yangmei Town is 805 meters and Old Xiangshan Mountain in the northwest of Heshui Town is 699 meters. Gaoming’s climate is the subtropical one, affected by monsoon, with sufficient sunshine, abundant rainfall, long frost-free period, warm and moist.
